Private, individualized care with David Ryder
Who This Is For: People Whose Body Matters to What They Do
Athletes, active adults, musicians, performers, executives, and high performers do not all need the same care. They do, however, appreciate the same thing: thoughtful, individualized work built around the demands of their actual lives.
Physical Engineering is hands-on, in-person work in Albany, Oregon. Emotional Transformation may also be available by private video session nationally and internationally when appropriate.
Different Lives. Same Basic Problem.
A runner, guitarist, surgeon, executive, touring artist, and weekend golfer may use their bodies very differently. But when something hurts, restricts movement, steals sleep or changes performance, the frustration is remarkably similar:
“I need my body to do its job.”
I work best with people who care about function, want to understand what is happening, and are willing to participate in getting better rather than outsourcing the entire job to a treatment table.
What Do You Want to Get Back To?
The sore spot matters. The life it is interrupting matters more. Vote for the thing you most want back and see what other visitors are working toward too.
Athletes & Active Adults
Training exposes weaknesses quickly. It also gives us useful information. Whether you compete, train seriously, hike, golf, ski, cycle, lift, run or simply refuse to become decorative furniture, the goal is to keep doing the things that make your body worth having.
Musicians & Performing Artists
Fine motor control, repetitive load, long rehearsals, travel, stage posture, and performance pressure create a different set of demands. “Just stop playing” is not especially useful advice when playing is your work, identity, tour, contract—or simply the thing that makes you feel most alive.
High Performers, Executives & Professionals
Long hours, flights, deadlines, responsibility, and sustained high-output work can make recovery the first thing you sacrifice and pain the last thing you address. The goal is not generic executive wellness. It is helping your body stop becoming a second job.
The Common Denominator
You value your body because it gives you access to something you value more: sport, work, art, adventure, family, independence, creativity, competition or simply the freedom to move without negotiating with pain.
If that sounds like you, we probably have something useful to talk about.
When Relief Helps—but the Same Problem Keeps Coming Back
Sometimes the useful next step is not another treatment. It is getting clearer about the pattern. The Right Problem Workbook helps you separate what you can actually observe from what you assume it means, notice what changes the problem, and test better questions before throwing more solutions at it.
