Overcome Stress-Related Emotional Challenges With Tapping Therapy

We all experience negative stress and emotional difficulties at some point in our lives. In most cases, we’re able to handle the situation and go back to our everyday lives. But when it escalates and grows more significant, a mental health problem can take control of your life and make you a prisoner in your head. It can isolate you from friends, family, work, and all the activities you enjoy doing.

That’s why if you’re going through any psychological condition, whether resentment, PTSD, anxiety, or any other, you should do something about it to improve your quality of life and regain control. One of the most effective and convenient solutions is Tapping, in person, or online.

What is Tapping Therapy?

Tapping Therapy is one of the most effective treatment methods for addressing and resolving mental, emotional, and stress-related challenges. The premise with Tapping Therapy is that no matter what obstacles are occurring in your life, there is a correlating unresolved emotional issue that is expressing itself. The process of tapping on the body can profoundly lower harmful stress levels as the points we use directly correspond to the body’s fight or flight system. What we do with the subconscious while tapping is what makes this method so amazingly effective.

Tapping is a fantastic solution for dealing with challenges and issues for the following reasons. It creates positive lasting changes. We create profound relaxation and recondition the central nervous system to reduce and eliminate stress. Tapping stimulates changes in the brain called neuroplasticity, making it easy to rewire unproductive subconscious patterns, and programs. Tapping can very effectively reduce physical and emotional stress. Because of the physical and emotional stress release, deep insights gained, positive feedback, and “connect the dots”; changes can be seen and felt right away. We tap into the brain’s brilliant ability to reorganize and remodel itself around new and more productive learning. The result is feeling better faster, and improving mood, attitude, and outlook about your situation. Our clients learn to use their thoughts almost effortlessly, in new ways, which result in what is called neuroplasticity in science. We help our clients tap into a new state. These new powerful states sharpen your creativity, balance your moods, and can help you achieve your personal and professional goals.

This is a powerful mind-body approach backed by science that incorporates current research in the fields of mind science, neuro-linguistic programming, human behavioral science, and the neuroscience fields of neuroplasticity and epigenetics.

Why Tapping Professionals Are Best Suited to Help You

When we’re going through stress or depression, the first group of people we approach for help are our friends and families. It’s completely normal, and there is nothing wrong with that. But, if you want growth, change, or healing, we recommend that instead of going the DIY approach, you look for someone you can connect with to help solve your problem.

However, getting help from friends and family comes with inevitable setbacks: they don’t have the training, experience, or skill set, and understanding. These people may care a lot and want the best for you, but they may be afraid of upsetting you with the truth. They may also have a biased viewpoint about your issues because anything that changes you can affect your relationship. What you need is an unbiased compassionate and experienced individual, and tapping therapy can be a wise choice. A Tapping professional can get you through the most challenging problems without breaking a sweat, guide you down the path of personal development, and help bend your mind around the most important things.

The History of Tapping

Standing on the shoulders of giants.

Meridians, acupuncture, and acupressure have been around for thousands of years.  Tapping began through building on these early forms of mind-body energy healing. Historically, tapping started developing from American psychologist Roger Callahan with his Thought Field Therapy (TFT), who used ancient Chinese medicine and the meridian system for creating changes that were unheard of in America and mystified western medicine. Then Gary Craig purchased the technology and developed it to bring us the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT tapping). EFT tapping experts split off with practitioners like Brad Yates, Nick Ortner (The Tapping Solution), Dr. Mercola, Evidence-Based Tapping, and others. EFT tapping has endured the test of time and opened the doors to bring other methods of energy psychology and health care together.

A new branch of EFT tapping that took tapping one giant leap ahead, improving speed and effectiveness was with Robert Smith’s “Faster EFT” (now called Eutaptics) by integrating additional complementary methods like Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). Total Integrated Therapy contributed and supported the growth of Faster EFT for over ten years before branching off to continue evolving and integrating new methods where Faster EFT tapping left off.  The results have developed tapping therapy far beyond traditional western psychology and other alternatives.

Below is a 13th-century image of an ancient acupuncture meridian drawing. The Chinese have been using the meridian system and acupuncture for centuries. It’s not new. Many people are just now discovering how to activate the body’s remarkable innate power to heal and change.

The History of Tapping

Continuing the Evolution of Tapping

Total Integrated Therapy’s Breakthrough Tapping Therapy integrates new integral concepts, processes, and practical tools. We intend to evolve the techniques to enhance insights, knowledge, understanding, and speed of learning. We want to give our clients and student practitioners a unique personal development experience.

Even though our model of Tapping is not TFT, EFT, or Faster EFT, per se, we do integrate some of the best of these techniques. We have focused on adding our insights and understandings. Tapping Therapy is flexible in that specific methods work better for some situations than others. Since every individual is unique and different in how they create their problems, we have to be flexible in how we achieve our client’s goals. In every situation, we strive to provide the best possible Therapy and integrate the next step, providing a “road map” for clients to continue with their progress. We call this component the Mindset Alignment Process or MAP for short. The MAP component is how we help our clients by aligning their minds with what they want to accomplish and achieve in their life. Tapping Therapy is how we tie it all together. We use Tapping as a tool to change the conditioned mind.

What Are The Benefits of Tapping Therapy?

No More Coping

The modern world induces significant stress, overwhelming nearly everyone. The ability to cope and deal with stress positively and constructively, however, is not something everyone is gifted with. It can often be the difference between success and failure in living life to the fullest. Good therapy (both online therapy as well as in-person therapy) can go a long way in changing such a situation. A specialized professional can help you learn how to resolve issues so that you won’t default to old non-productive coping mechanisms. This can greatly aid in navigating through the troubling times. Soon, regardless of what challenge you face next, you will be confident of getting through it unscathed!

Treating Depression

Depression is slowly becoming one of the most widespread illnesses across the world and affects a significant percentage of people between ages 18 and 30. It often results in negative thoughts and beliefs that are incredibly difficult to put aside. Tapping can help an individual identify these intrusive thoughts and behaviors and change inaccurate conclusions and assumptions. Faster than you might think possible, being honest with oneself and working through the real underlying causes of negative emotions with a therapist in-person or via online therapy can break the cycle. No one “has” depression; depression is something that is successfully produced and repeated until it becomes conditioned and experienced as a “normal” state of being.

Overcoming Trauma and PTSD

Certain events from the past can linger and fester in our minds, negatively affecting day-to-day life. Tapping can significantly help in completely overcoming past wounds and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Of course, discussing upsetting events with a therapist is not easy by any means, but resolving the trauma is priceless. Tapping therapists, with their extensive education and training, will implement tried and tested science-backed techniques to help you through these traumatic experiences. These in-person and online therapy sessions will help you address the very root of the problem, empowering you to move forward.

Our tapping therapy isn’t just for combat veterans, but anyone who has experienced a traumatic event. If you have witnessed/been a victim of childhood trauma, a tragic accident, rape, or violent attacks, you could have PTSD. The disorder affects everyone (men, women, and children included from any background or ethnicity).

Most individuals with emotional trauma and PTSD suffer for years, decades, or the rest of their lives because they don’t get the right treatment. Experts that are supposed to help PTSD suffers to get rid of underlying symptoms like nightmares, severe anxiety, flashbacks, resentment, and stress seem to believe PTSD is untreatable. That is simply not the case! Tapping can knock out trauma in minutes or hours, at most, providing the freedom to grow and have new experiences.

Resolving Stress-Related Problems

Many of us experience feelings of loneliness at times. Isolation can often aggravate an overwhelming situation, and challenges can seem insurmountable, leaving you feeling helpless. Having a tapping therapist by your side in such a scenario can be incredibly beneficial. Your therapist will not only listen to understand you but also work with you to find solutions to the obstacles in your life. Just having a person who you can turn to, confide and work through your emotions, even in online therapy sessions, can make a surprising dramatic difference. Tapping for stress allows you not just to manage stress, but control stress and get your needs met.

Conquering Anxiety

Anxiety is something we all face in our lives. It may an upcoming meeting, examination, or perhaps a competition. It may even be argued that a little bit of anxiety is good, and shows that we care about a task or goal. When it begins to impair day-to-day activities, however, getting help is essential, and online therapy can be an excellent first step. Tapping therapists employ a wide variety of techniques, such as Neuro-Linguistic Programming and Exposure Therapy, to help you understand the causes and make subconscious changes that stop reactions to triggers that cause anxiety. Tapping for anxiety makes it not only possible but predictable to overcome and conquer anxiety.

Helping You Move On

Living in the past is something all of us are guilty of doing at some point. When past events are always on your mind, and you aren’t able to appreciate the present, it is vital to seek help from a professional. Tapping therapists will help you get in touch with your emotions and feelings about particular events and resolve them quickly. These feelings may be that of resentment and guilt due to lost opportunities, moments of unmatched joy, or perhaps heartbreak, and are preventing you from moving on. Confronting these emotions with the aid of a therapist, even in online therapy, can give you peace of mind and closure, and ultimately help you move on.

Do I need Tapping Therapy?

Here Are Some Signs to Help you find out:

Poor performance at work and school

If you’re experiencing stress and emotional struggles, it can reflect on what you do every day. For an excellent student, he/she might start getting low grades. If you have a job, you find yourself not completing projects on time and performing poorly. The main reasons for these occurrences are not poor concentration, inadequate attention to tasks at hand, or sometimes memory loss, but unresolved stress and emotions. The lack of zeal can also diminish your productivity. And especially if you work in a sector where your actions pose a risk to others, immediate help is vital. Tapping therapy can help find the root cause of the problem and correct it.

You experienced a traumatic event

Sadly, while we may do our best to prevent them, traumatic events happen around us when we experience: deaths of loved ones, accidents, losing a job, breakups, and many others. This is another area where Tapping Therapy online can help you let go of the hurts so you can move on. Some people deal with trauma very well, but for others, it disrupts their peace of mind completely and puts them into a non-productive state. They feel overly anxious and depressed. It hinders their functioning and isolates them from friends and family. They can’t even sleep well. If you’re one of these people, you can find the solution you’ve been looking for in a Tapping expert. Get help and start your journey to regaining control over your life.

Intense and long-lasting negative emotions

Sometimes we feel sad, angry, or anxious, maybe due to our careers, relationships, and other happenings around us. Sometimes these emotions stay for a short time and go away. Other times, if it’s been a month or two and you’re still angry, sad, hopeless, or anxious, it may be a sign of an underlying issue that continues to resurface because it hasn’t been adequately addressed. These feelings become so intense to the point that being productive and happy can be a real challenge. You may even start experiencing panic attacks. In the worst-case scenario, you lack meaning in the life you’re living and contemplate suicide. Don’t let it reach this point; get tapping therapy to help you discover what’s troubling you and help you resolve it. We can help you find inspiration and meaning in your life so that you want to jump out of bed in the morning, excited to start your day.

Substance use and abuse

When experiencing anxiety, PTSD, trauma, depression, and feelings of resentment, we often look for things to distract ourselves from what we’re going through, feeling, and experiencing. Some cope by going the healthy route and choose relaxation techniques such as meditation, yoga, and walking in nature. However, others go the unhealthy way and start using substances: smoking cigarettes, marijuana, and drinking alcohol. Others turn to sex and binge eating. The best long term solution is not finding new ways to cope, but to resolve what you are trying to cope with.

Besides, these unhealthy coping strategies will only worsen the problem as time passes. When the high goes down, you’ll still have your struggles and feelings to deal with. Tapping therapy can be a great solution to the underlying problem before it grows into abuse.

Lack of interest in activities you enjoyed

If you can’t find fun in the activities you enjoyed a few weeks or months back, it may be a sign you’re mind has become conditioned to focus on what you don’t want, and are experiencing unproductive attitudes and emotions. You may be stressed or depressed, and those feelings may be stealing the joy in fun activities you enjoyed before. A tapping therapy expert can help evaluate recent happenings in your life, determine the exact problem, and work to remove the stress and emotions that are holding you back.

Trouble maintaining relationships

Are you always picking fights with your spouse? Or have you recently been feeling like you don’t want to be around your partner? When you’re going through stress, anxiety, or depression, it reflects negatively on how you relate with your partner. You can’t communicate as well as you used to, want to be left alone, and are the start of trouble in most cases. These stress patterns not only happens in romantic relationships, but also with others such as friends, family members, and colleagues. Don’t let unresolved stress and emotions ruin your relationships; get Tapping Therapy, learn social skills, and improve yourself.

Tapping Therapy vs. Medication

When going through mental health issues such as anxiety, PTSD, trauma, or depression, the first thing many people think of is medication. While it may seem like a good choice to relieve the symptoms of these difficulties at the time, it doesn’t change the mind or treat the root cause. You may take medications for years, and still have symptoms and side effects every day. The best thing about tapping therapy is that we address the underlying cause, and from there, the symptoms no longer get expressed and can go away. A Tapping Therapy online professional will talk to you, have you answer a few specific questions, and then go to work to eradicate the problem once and for all.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between EFT Tapping and Breakthrough Tapping Therapy?

  • Our well-defined belief system determines the results we get.
  • We aim at specific aspects of the mind and body. Results are more profound, with longer-lasting changes.
  • We look at all the ways that we create stress; physically, chemically, and emotionally.
  • The time it takes to get results. Some results can take minutes, or hours, not months, or years.
  • We use less tapping points. More tapping points do not improve results, so there is less confusion and a shorter learning curve.
  • No guesswork. We don’t use memorized scripts or guess what words to say. We use the conversation already going on in your own head.

How does tapping therapy work?

Tapping Therapy works by interrupting and breaking conditioned mental and emotional patterns and reactions. Tapping opens new options to make positive change, creating receptive states in which accelerated learning can take place. During this time, we focus on releasing and clearing unproductive ideas, beliefs, conditioning, and emotional reactions. We tap into the mind’s own ability to heal, literally. It’s a natural process.

What to say when Tapping

One of the first skills to develop with tapping is how to let things go. Letting go is a natural process. You don’t need to “do” anything except to let go of the limiting things the brain is conditioned to hang on to.

Here are nine statements that you can use to let go of things you don’t want when you are ready for change. Repeat as necessary.

  1. “I let it go.”
  2. “I choose to let it go.”
  3. “I want to let it go.”
  4. “I’m ready to let it go.”
  5. “It’s safe to let it go.”
  6. “I release and let it go.”
  7. “I let it loose.”
  8. “I give it up.”
  9. “I just let it go.”

What's The Difference Between Traditional Therapy and Tapping Therapy?

Standard Western talk or drug therapy doesn’t address the root cause of the problem, and that’s why it can be frustrating and seem to take forever to get results and answers. Only talking about traumatic events or taking pharmaceutical drugs doesn’t free the mind of PTSD symptoms, stress, anxiety, depression, emotions, among other symptoms. In fact, standard PTSD treatment characterized by talking about past trauma over and over again is harmful, destructive, and toxic to sufferers and their families as it reinforces the neurology causing the problem.

When Does Tapping Not Work?

It doesn’t work when you don’t try it, use it, or when you are dead.

When Tapping Therapy Doesn't Work

Normally, if the problem provides benefits that outweigh the desire to get better, conflict occurs. The side that is valued highest always wins.

Does Tapping Therapy Work for Everyone?

Unfortunately, Tapping is not for everyone. Check below to see if tapping therapy is right for you.

5 Tips for Tapping Success:

  1. Do you have a problem? (You need to have a problem, or there is nothing for us to work on!)
  2. Do you want help?
  3. Are you ready for a change? (Even if it’s unfamiliar and outside of your comfort zone?)
  4. Do you believe that you can, indeed, change?
  5. Can you afford it?

While tapping therapy may not be the cheapest option available, we can assure you that its thoroughness, quickness, and effectiveness will be worth it.

Why Is Tapping Therapy Effective?

So, why is tapping therapy effective? Because we aim specifically at the root cause of the problem, and how the mind works. We address and change outdated subconscious programs, beliefs, and thought patterns that create problems in the first place. Then release the stress and emotions that build up inside.

How Does Tapping Therapy Online Work?

The internet has opened up numerous avenues for emotional and stress-related mental health treatments. Tapping Online is one of them and has helped individuals located in even the most remote regions across the world have access to the best therapists and counselors. In addition to the benefits mentioned previously, there are specific advantages to tapping therapy online.

The first thing we do is gather as much relevant information about the problem you are experiencing. Then we speak with you on the phone or a virtual video meeting to make sure this therapy is a good match for you. Next, you fill out an intake form that we send you. You complete the questions, make a list of memories to address, and you submit it to us. We send you a payment link and schedule you for your Tapping Breakthrough session. At the time of your scheduled appointment, we can weave the information you submitted to us in the form to help create the changes you want in your life and help you let go of the things that have been getting in the way. Session length is usually between an hour and a half and two hours. We recommend doing at least three sessions, though people frequently ask for more.
