Chair Yoga, Self-Care and Nurture – Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that is practiced sitting on a chair.
In the video above I have carefully designed a gentle chair yoga sequence that will help you to feel calm and relaxed throughout your whole mind and body.
All the yoga poses have been modified so that they can be done easily while seated in a chair. These modifications make yoga accessible to people who cannot stand or lack the mobility. Doing chair yoga will help you to find more energy, bring flexibility back to your joints and reduce the stress in your body.
Many of the basic individual postures and range of motion can be done while sitting in a chair. While seated on chairs, students can do versions of twists, hip stretches, side bends, forward bends, and mild backbends.
