Chair Yoga Self-Care and Nurture

Chair Yoga, Self-Care and Nurture

Chair Yoga, Self-Care and Nurture – Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that is practiced sitting on a chair.
In the video above I have carefully designed a gentle chair yoga sequence that will help you to release tension and stress from your body. As a result, you will feel calm and relaxed throughout your whole mind and body.
All the yoga poses have been modified so that they can be done easily while seated in a chair. Furthermore, these modifications make yoga accessible to people who cannot stand or lack the mobility. Above all, doing chair yoga will help you to find more energy, bring flexibility back to your joints and reduce the stress in your body.

Chair Yoga to Maintain Balance

Many of the basic individual postures and range of motion can be done while sitting in a chair. Therefore, while seated on chairs, students can do versions of twisting postures, hip stretches, side bends, forward bends, and mild backbends. It well know that yoga is an effective way to maintain balance in the body. For those who cannot participate in a regular yoga class, chair yoga is a good alternative practice, as most people can easily perform the exercises using a chair for support.
